Employee Group Benefits

How important is a group program as a benefit to employment? Very. In a recent survey, 80% of employees said they’d rather have benefits than an extra week of holiday.

Benefits programs are good for employers as well. Here’s why. Good plans attract and keep productive staff, reduce training costs, improve service, and reduce absenteeism.  In some provinces, a health and dental plan can even be better than a pay raise because it’s not taxable to the employee. And, employer contributions are deductible as a business expense and do not require CPP, EI, and tax contributions.

Today, you have greater flexibility in plan creation than ever before! Traditional plans offer a defined array of coverages as determined by the employer. Flexible plans allow members to select the coverage within specified limits. Health care spending accounts simply allocate a fixed sum that plan members may use as they require.  Consult with one of our Benefits Specialists to determine what type of plan and coverage works best for you coverage needs and budget.
