Dear Mr. Beausoleil:

For several years we have been customers of Pottruff & Smith.  Unfortunately during that time we have not had the opportunity to be as diligent about the insurance coverage as we have on our home and no one at the agency expressed an interest in our situation.  We were another $ in the till.

This year I have opened a home-based business and needed information to ensure we were operating with sufficient coverage.  I had to call the office.  And I was referred to Ms. Trudy Mitchell.

Obviously Trudy is young and new at the job.  But what was so refreshing to me was her genuine interest in our situation.  She has worked with me over the summer to build a scenario which genuinely reflects what we are all about and will allow us to have adequate coverage should the need arise.  She has also exceeded my expectations by taking the time to appraise our situation and make recommendations about our coverage, which will ultimately benefit not just Pottruff and Smith but also me.  How refreshing!

As a CPSA member, I contacted Jennifer Torralba, of course, when I decided to put my son, Marc, on my policy. Marc had just graduated from University and was heading out on his own.

Hi Joseph,

As a CPSA member, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your company for your excellent service. Good competitive rates are, of course, a high priority, but there is more. This is where you stepped forward and made a difference.

We had to make a change in insurance companies as my company policy insisted that the car used for business carry $2,000,000 liability (my previous insurance company did not offer). This you were able to help us with.

A much more serious issue was that our daughter had just secured her G2 licence and, having 3 cars, this made her a principal driver with most other insurance companies and, therefore, major rate increases. The fact that she would never drive our Mustang or was away at university for 8 months a year made no difference to “other” companies.

After taking the time to understand our situation, this is where you “made the difference” with a solution that few in the industry will acknowledge. By signing a 28A form that denies our daughter from driving the Mustang, that sees only summer weekend use, she became an occasional driver on one of our other 2 cars.
